David Lee grew up in Buffalo, NY, and moved to Chicago after graduating college with a degree in Accounting.  While his professional path led him to a career in law his heart has long been rooted in the local church.  Before joining Church of the Beloved in 2021, David spent over twelve years in leadership at Evergreen Community Church, where he wore many hats, from playing drums on the worship team to managing church finances and leading sports outreach.

David and his wife, Mia Song, were drawn to COTB’s welcoming community and city-centered mission. Since becoming a member, David has served on the Board of Directors and is an active member of the Saturday Family Community Group and co-leads Beloved’s Sports Ministry. He is passionate about using his administrative gifts to help the church thrive, while bringing a spirit of encouragement to every “gap” he fills.

David and Mia live in River North with their three children: Ava, Olivia, and Noah. Outside of his professional and ministry work, David is an avid sports enthusiast who loves building community through fun competition and play.
